STEM All Stars attended the National Stemsymposium 2016
STEM All Stars attended the National Stemsymposium of 2016 on March 12th. The National Stemsymposium consisted of over 2,500 students from all over the state. The event was a free, exciting and all-day forum that equally engages children, parents, and teachers, coupled with corporate, government, academia and non-profit executives alike from the STEM fields. Activities for the day included hands-on children activities such as student robotics teams, flight simulator competitions, 3D printers and other science and mathematics exhibits. Attendees also found information about government and industry high school and college STEM internships. Many keynote speakers attended the event including the principal of Thomas Jefferson High school for Science and Technology, Congressman Gerald E. Connolly, Tina Harrington, Donald G.James, Scott Settar, Dr. Sandy Magnus, Edward Swallow, and Eric Schierling. Thank you to all supporters who visited the STEM All Stars booth and huge thanks to Washington Exec and Nysmith School for organizing this event.
